H2nanO was honoured to participate in the 2025 FOREDE Mining Expo in Copiapó, Chile, as part of the Ontario Cleantech in Mining Trade Mission!
H2nanO recently joined the first-ever Ontario Cleantech in Mining trade mission to Expo FOREDE in Copiapó, Chile!
Notably, this event marked the first time Chile invited Canada as a guest country to FOREDE. Consequently, the Canada-Ontario Pavilion provided an incredible opportunity to showcase H2nanO’s innovative water treatment technologies, including our solutions for passive advanced oxidation, thermal desalination, and enhanced evaporation. Through a visit to a local copper mine and several days of exhibitions and networking, H2nanO connected directly with mine operators in the Atacama and to learn about their unique water challenges firsthand.
As one of the driest regions on Earth, water management is critical for the public and mining operations in the Atacama. We spoke to several operators interested in H2nanO’s unique solutions for their water challenges including tailings contaminant removal using our SolarPass in-situ oxidation process, mine water supply and desalination using our Stratus technology, and tailings volume management using our Oasis enhanced evaporation technology.
From water supply to tailings treatment, we're proud to be part of the effort to support sustainable mining and water management solutions in the Atacama region, and the broader Chilean mining industry.
